Immersive forums

The Path that Connects and Activates

What are Immersive Forums?

An open invitation to participate in the conversation about the future of our territories.

Immersive Forums are open spaces for participation that allow anyone interested to approach The Path that Connects and Activates without having to complete the entire route.

Conceived as a gateway to the ecosystem, these meetings bring the project closer to citizens, associations, the educational community, institutions and all those who wish to contribute to the future of their territories.

Through hands-on activities, field experiences, meetings with experts, and collaborative exercises, the forums encourage reflection on some of the main challenges and opportunities facing rural areas. Beyond simply transmitting knowledge, they aim to foster connections between people with diverse perspectives and experiences, promoting the exchange of ideas and the collective development of solutions.

Each session addresses a specific theme related to talent, memory, or inclusion, transforming the territory into a shared learning space where heritage, community, and innovation converge to imagine new possibilities. The Immersive Forums are not parallel activities to the project, but rather an essential part of its philosophy: to open the conversation, incorporate new voices, and demonstrate that territorial transformation is only possible when the right people come together and work collaboratively.

They are, in short, an open invitation to participate in the conversation about the future of our territories and to become part of a network of people committed to activating heritage, generating opportunities and building more dynamic, inclusive and resilient communities.

Enthusiasm and Talent

On the Day of Illusion and Talent, ELCCA will open its doors to young people, students, entrepreneurs, associations and people interested in discovering new opportunities for the territory.

Throughout the day, participants will be able to join different experiences developed on the Künig Way, combining interpreted walks, visits to heritage spaces with activation potential and collaborative dynamics aimed at generating ideas and projects.

The forum will include opportunities to meet with experts, entrepreneurs, and local stakeholders, as well as activities designed to foster networking, creativity, and the identification of opportunities related to heritage, rural innovation, and sustainable development. All of this will take place in an environment that invites participants to discover how the Camino de Santiago can become a living laboratory for imagining and building the future of our regions.

Memory and Legacy

The Day of Remembrance and Legacy proposes an experience open to citizens, social entities, associations and the educational community to reflect on the role of memory, tradition and local knowledge in building the future.

In the unique setting of Os Cóbados do Belesar, participants can join interpretive tours, intergenerational meetings and conversation spaces where heritage, landscape and people will be the main protagonists.

Through participatory activities, workshops, and shared experiences, the forum will seek to highlight the accumulated experience of generations and explore new opportunities related to active aging, the care economy, and the revitalization of rural areas. It will be a day to understand that innovation also stems from the ability to preserve, transmit, and update what defines us as a community.

Put yourself in their shoes

Put yourself in their shoes will bring participants of all ages and backgrounds closer to an experience focused on inclusion, diversity and building more cohesive communities.

Inspired by the activity "Put yourself in their shoes," the day will allow participants to experience immersive and participatory activities aimed at understanding different social realities and reflecting on the importance of creating opportunities for all people.

During the tour and scheduled activities, spaces will be created for interaction between citizens, social organizations, educational centers, and institutions, fostering dialogue, collaboration, and shared learning. More than just an awareness-raising event, it will be an invitation to discover how empathy, participation, and diversity can become drivers of territorial transformation and tools for building a more inclusive and connected future.

What if building your future in rural areas didn't mean giving up opportunities, but discovering new ones?

We will talk about services, aid, training, employment, entrepreneurship and companies looking for talent, but we will also learn about the experiences of young people who are already demonstrating that rural areas can be a place to develop a profession, create a company and build a future.

    MEMORY AND LEGACY

Diomondi Historical Hostel

4:00 PM - Welcome and official presentation of the forum.

What if living longer were not only one of the great challenges of rural areas, but also one of their greatest opportunities?

We live longer and we want to live them better, maintaining our autonomy, our connections and, whenever possible, remaining in the place we feel is our own.

But that forces us to ask ourselves new questions: Where will we live? Who will take care of us? What services will we need? How can we continue to participate in our community?

And, at the same time, what new opportunities for employment, housing, entrepreneurship and economic activity can an increasingly aging society generate?

An afternoon to talk about solutions, learn about new models and value something that no territory can afford to lose: the memory, experience and knowledge accumulated by those who have spent a lifetime building it.

4:15 p.m. - Block 1: THE METAPHOR OF THE ROAD: COOPERATE TO MAKE LIVING IN RURAL AREAS REMAIN POSSIBLE

Presentation 1: CCooperating to live better: how several municipalities can share resources, services and solutions that would be difficult to offer separately.

Presentation 2: Growing old without having to leave: what a municipality needs so that its elderly can continue living there.

5:00 p.m. - Block 2: THE REVOLUTION OF LIVING LONGER: NEW HOMES, NEW CARE AND NEW OPPORTUNITIES

Presentation 1: Living your whole life in your environment: how to transform homes and assets into new models for aging better.

Presentation 2: Caring before depending: how proximity, new services and technology can help us live longer with autonomy.

Presentation 3: Living longer also creates opportunities: new services, jobs and businesses in the longevity economy.

5:45 p.m. - Block 3: WE INHERIT. WE TRANSFORM. WE BEQUEATH.

Presentation 1: WE INHERIT: The knowledge that isn't on Google: what only those who lived it know and we can't afford to lose.

Presentation 2: WE TRANSFORM: From traditional knowledge to a future opportunity: trades and skills that can continue to generate value.

    PUT YOURSELF IN THEIR SHOES

Seminary of Saint Catherine of Mondoñedo

4:00 PM - Welcome and official presentation of the forum.

How many opportunities do we let slip away simply because we haven't thought about the people who face more barriers to reaching them?

Sometimes a barrier is a stepping stone. Other times it's a lack of transportation, information that isn't understood, a degree that isn't recognized, training that doesn't lead to employment, a lack of contacts, or an opportunity that no one has been able to make visible.

This afternoon we want to put ourselves in the shoes of people with disabilities, unemployed people, migrants and other people who find it more difficult to participate fully in the social and economic life of the territory.

But we don't just want to talk about barriers. We want to talk about solutions, employment, training, accessibility, businesses, entrepreneurship, and real opportunities.

A conversation to discover what we can all change so that more people can participate, work, undertake and build their own future from the territory.

4:15 p.m. - Block 1: NO ONE LEFT BEHIND: FROM ADAPTED ACCESSIBILITY TO A TRULY EVERYONE'S EXPERIENCE

Presentation 1: The barriers we don't see until we put ourselves in their shoes: experiencing the territory from another perspective.

Presentation 2: Real accessibility: what needs to change so that a person can travel, participate and decide autonomously.

Presentation 3: Designing for everyone also creates opportunities: how accessibility can improve destinations, services, and businesses.

5:00 p.m. - Block 2: FROM PROGRAM TO EMPLOYMENT: WHAT IS NEEDED FOR AID TO TURN INTO A REAL OPPORTUNITY?

Presentation 1: Beyond courses: what support actually opens the door to employment.

Presentation 2: Hire talent, not labels: what companies are looking for and what barriers we still need to break down.

Presentation 3: The opportunity that did change things: what a person needs to re-enter the job market.

5:45 p.m. - Block 3: FROM RECEIVING SUPPORT TO CREATING OPPORTUNITIES: STARTING A BUSINESS, PARTICIPATING AND BUILDING A FUTURE FROM THE TERRITORY

Presentation 1: When no one offers you an opportunity: how to start building your own.

Presentation 2: A good idea with few resources: how to turn it into a viable business.

Presentation 3: What is still lacking in the territory: unmet needs that can be turned into new services, jobs and businesses.
